Babangida Fires back
at Buhari
Last
week, President Mohammadu Buhari let the cat out of the bag when he told the media that former Military President, General
Ibrahim Babangida had in 1985 scuttled
his government to prevent his arrest as a suspected “drug dealer”. But over the weekend, the gap toothed General
from Minna in Niger State fired back saying that Buhari was “overthrown”
because of what he called the “frustrations” he brought upon Nigerians. “The
retired General stated that their “intervention” to save Nigeria from that “hardship”
was fueled by the media…not his personal ambition. Now, in Buhari’s second
coming, Nigeria is again in the throes of “another” round of “hardship”. “There are groans everywhere, noted one
Salihu Umar. “People are even stealing
foods these days”, Umar claimed. Cash
crunch or cost cutting measures? The
answer is left to you!
