The “good” news making the rounds is that the Federal Government plans to reopen corruption cases against ex-governors!  One of them, Dr Peter Odili had obtained a perpetual court injunction to stop his investigation into an alleged N100 billion mismanagement while in office!  Others whose cases are being reopened and are presently either “occupying” big offices or are vying for “another” big position include President of Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki (Kwara), factional Chairman of PDP, Ali Modu Sheriff (Borno), Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio (Akwa-Ibom); Chimaroke Nnamani (Enugu), Joshua Dariye (Plateau), Ikedi Ohakim (Imo).  Many of these “officials” were investigated, charged to court but the cases never made “progress”.  Today, most of them are back in office!
