The Abacha loot: $321 million to be returned

The Abacha loot! 11 years on, there is still no let up about this brazen crime. The Abacha loot has continued to grab headlines and now from reliable sources, another tranche of $321 million is about to be returned by the Switzerland Government. The United States Government is also contemplating a return of another hefty $480 million. The total haul so far is in the neighborhood of $1.044 billion!
In the hey days of former President Goodluck Jonathan, the sum of $322 million returned would later be misappropriated and  “re-stolen” when it found its way into the former NSA’s office to fight the Boko Haram insurgency. Meanwhile, former President Olusegun Obasanjo had described a judge as “ignorant and stupid” for directing that all past civilian presidents from 1999 to account for the Abacha loot recovered since his demise.
The Expose News gathered that much of the $321 about to be returned now has already been ploughed into the 2016 budget. Talk of accountability.

Lawyers set for showdown with MD, NMDPRA Petrol Import Licenses breach, set for legal action
