The incumbent Governor of Kogi
State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello who won the All Progressive Congress (APC) primary
held on Thursday, 28th August has promised instant reforms. The youthful Governor while acknowledging the
endless stream of cheering supporters promised to embark on immediate road
rehabilitation, pay salaries of civil servants and bring pensioner’s plight to
an end. The Governor appealed to the
supporters that victory is not yet complete and they should work in harmony to
ensure Peaceful election in November. Yahaya Bello had polled 3,224 votes beating
10 other aspirants. A total of 3,500 delegates had participated in the exercise.
Governor Bello thanked the party faithful for giving him another opportunity to
revolutionize the State and called on his opponents to join hands with him to
move the State forward.
