BUHARI WINS AT TRIBUNAL



President Muhammadu Buhari’s election as President of Nigeria has been confirmed in the Tribunal which struck out the case of PDP challenger Atiku Abubakar.

The five –man bench led by Justice Mohammed Garba Umar unanimously dismissed the case for lacking in merit after resolving all the five issues raised in the case against the Petitioner.

Justice Garba, who read the judgment resolved all the five broad issues raised by the petitioner in favour of the respondents. He held that none of the ground in which the petition was anchored was proved, saying Atiku’s evidence was like a drop in the ocean!

The Independent Corrupt Practice and Other Related Matters Offences Commission (ICPC) were set as an anti-corruption agency to rein in persons involved in suspected shady deals and sharp practices.
