The
politics of second term is still on. Amidst the dark clouds surrounding
Governor Godwin Obaseki returning to the office for second term as Governor of
Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, the
All Progressive Congress (APC) National Chairman has come out boldly to debunk any
such plot against his protégé in office.
The
diminutive comrade dismissed claims that there was any disagreement between
them explaining that he had nothing to gain or profit by quarrelling.
Oshiomole
said although he nominated one commissioner of the 20 Obaseki appointed, he was
not upset when the same single commissioner was later removed by Obaseki along
with seven others. He said for the first time, that the contention was all
about governance and carrying political players and leaders in the party along. Meanwhile, Comrade Oshiomole has distanced himself from recognising the current Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Mr. Frank Okiye
