It
is obvious: Americans are heading for a final showdown with their tweeter loving President Donald
Trump. They are not letting up their
insults despite the fact that the target is no other than the President of the
United States of America! Daily, on major news channels, no effort is spared by
chagrined public figures to pummel their President, calling him names such as “liar”
“unfit”, “inexperienced”! But he has continued to show restraint, apparently for
some unclear reasons. “It is shameful to see these public figures hurl abuses
at their president’, declared one Richard Brume, an ardent Trump supporter. “They
shouldn’t do this “said another observer, pointing out that “Americans should have
more serious issues to contend with than castigating openly the president of
the most powerful nation in the world.” “I can’t believe it; sometimes, I feel
like throwing up when I watch CNN and hear what they say about this man Donald
Trump”, disclosed one Marylyn Ogeh. “Somehow, they should get around this and
face other issues”. The lady wondered why Americans don’t feel naked doing
this; “it is not right”, she says. But now the crunch is set for the approaching
2020 Presidential election where Trump, as expected, is a major contender. But
Donald Trump is not about to be undone; he too has deployed the dirtiest of
language to hit back at some perceived critiques using some of the harshest words.
For instance, he referred to the majority black district of Baltimore where democrat,
Elijah Cunnings presides over as “rodent infested”. To the four Congress women who dared to
challenge him, Trump, expressing hatred told them “go back to your rat-infested
country”!
