The
founder of the Common Wealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo
has explained that it was timely legal advice that prevented him from showing
up at the probe panel instituted by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria
(PFN). He said he could not honour the invitation because his lawyers feared
that he could be victimized. The legal advice was premised on the press
statement issued and personally signed by the PFN President Bishop Felix Omobude; the press statement publicly derided the COZA senior pastor. The stylish Pastor was then convinced
beyond reasonable doubt that the PFN was already prejudiced and may not conduct
an impartial session. Recall that the COZA senior pastor had spent time
building his church and had endured many years of difficulties before excelling
in ministry affairs. Then, suddenly, an accusation spilled out from nowhere stunning
members of the public who at first believed, but as the dusts settled, began to scrutinize the veracity of the claim especially coming two decades after!
