News breaking out suggest that Chairman of Special Presidential Investigating Panel on Public Asset Recovery Barrister Okoi Obono Obla is in fresh trouble; the news suggest that his office has been sealed off by unknown agents of the State. But as the mystery and twist deepens, President of Concerned Nigerians in Diaspora Comrade Ambassador James Erebuoye has risen stoutly in his defense calling on President Buhari to be wary of those elements who are determined to fight back against his administrations cardinal policy-- corruption. Comrade Erebuoye lashed out at those who are determined to derail Buhari's anti-corruption fight by orchestrating the closure of Obla's office. His words: " Everybody knows that it is not going to be easy to fight against corruption in a country like Nigeria; but here we have a man who ventured out to perform his job and assigned responsibility" Speaking further, Comrade Erebuoye charged that even the President has acknowledged how difficult it is to fight corruption and wondered the reason behind Obla's present ordeal. Comrade pointed out that President Buhari should have at the back of his mind that certainly his anti-corruption drive was going to face stiff resistance like the type Obla is currently being subjected to. He reminded the President that Nigerians in Diaspora applauded the appointment of Okoi Obla as the Chairman of the Task force and called for an end to to his predicament. Comrade Erebuoye further expressed his concern that Mr. President should be aware that what Obla is going through now may just be an attempt to derail his Administration's determined fight against high profile corruption fight in which is his administration's cardinal policy. Comrade charged that Obla's ordeal is coming at a time that his office is carrying out high profile investigations against suspected cases and called don Nigerians to wake up and support President Buhari at this time to enable the fight against corruption to succeed in Nigeria.
Appointed since 1 st April, 2015 till date, Prof. Adepoju Adeshola Olatunde, Director-General of the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria (FRIN) has left no room to chance. The Ph.D holder in Agricultural and Environmental Economics (2002) from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State has taken extra-ordinary steps to see the Forestry Institute to the next level of existence. One of such steps is the repositioning of FRIN outstation for better research focus.
