Leaders
from the Isoko All Progressive Congress APC) Delta State branch has completely washed their
hands from the unwarranted media attacks aimed at the person of the Deputy
President of the Senate Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege. “The inciting
publications streaming in various online media platforms are not anchored by
the patriotic Isoko people”, reads a statement signed by Otunba Nick Ovuakporie
and Honorable Goddy Ewerode. The statement adds that “the Isoko people are
unique people who have high regards for Delta State APC established
political leadership”. Nick Ovuakporie insisted that “no sane patriot can be a
party to unprovoked attacks against any political leader from anywhere not to
talk of our much valued Deputy Senate President”! The Otunba attributed the
negative articles as sponsored jobs by paid mercenaries. "this has never been a reflection of our Isoko political agenda”, he declared. He therefore called on all Isoko people in Nigeria and the diaspora to support the Deputy Senate President to succeed in his national assignment.
How the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan frittered away the nation’s scarce resources is beginning to spill out – despite the shrill insistence by ex-Finance Minister, Okonjo Iweala that the records sheet were clean! Information pieced together by our investigators show that several paramilitary Agencies under the Federal Ministry of Interior shared a record 10 billion each for the purpose of influencing the March 28 General Elections in favour of the defeated incumbent. However, things did not go down well with the ranks and file during the sharing. Outgoing Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Boss (name withheld) was said to have misappropriated the huge booty by allegedly pocketing 5 billion for himself, while declaring the other half (5 billion) as the sum total. The bone of contention was that while the rank and file received 40,000 each some key associates close to the big guns went home with a hefty slice. Causing the rumble.
