Major
General Hossein Salami, Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Brigade
came out last week to tell the world that “destroying Israel” was now
achievable. This chilling remarks has
gone without rebuke by the United Nations Establishment! The Commander was said to be addressing a
section of military apologist in Tehran.
This would not be the first time remarks of this violent nature would
come from the Islamic Republic which seemed to have made Israel their focal
point for issuing threats. But the worry is not so much the vulgar remarks but
the ominous silence from the so-called United Nations Assembly. “They are dumb about this statement”,
remarked one Fredrick Smith. “Their body
language encourages more violence in these circumstances”, he told our reporters.
The United Nations has faced criticism in recent times for their lackadaisical
attitude towards containing violent situations until they go out of hand. Israel has however, ignored the General in
what political strategist regard as “fool’s treatment”.
