Friends of His Excellency, Governor Ambode of Lagos State have concluded plans to honor him with a book presentation for his patriotism, selflessness and nationalistic approach towards politics without bitterness. The friends under the leadership of Mr. Sule Ahmed Oyofo, currently a director in the civil service of Nigeria commended Governor Ambode for his uncommon ability to weather the storm and even forge ahead with his official duties in spite of the recent political events. This recent event portrays his perseverance and stability against all odds. A glaring example according to them is the governors participation in the on going reconciliation programme to bring back aggrieved APC members to the fold as well as his glaring support for the APC governorship candidate Babajide Sanwolu. In a release, the friends stated that the book titled " Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode: the story of performance and achievements" chronicled his academic growth to working days and his eventual ascension as governor of Lagos State. The book captured his extensive network of friends and his elastic readiness to accommodate everyone no matter where he comes from. "Ambode is a straight forward person; he is very simple and easy to work with. He is a natural giver and has never ceased to help where necessary", said Mr. Oyofo. The book presentation is slated to hold in January 2019.
