CNN UNENDING WARS AGAINST PRESIDENT TRUMP

Ethics holds the key in battle against Trump attack on journalistsIt is clear the Cable Network News (CNN) once the pride of media reportage has totally lost its touch as a result of their obsession with bringing down President Donald Trump. Now, Al-Jazeera has taken the lead with focused, mass, ethical reportage. It is painful, but true. The CNN did well prior to the arrival of the Trump era; but now it is shameful watching their reportage centre on insults and denigration of the person and character of the US President. Why would you not expect such a man trapped already by his own shortcomings—not to react wildly? The CNN has lost not only its unique professional touch, it has also brought to question its integrity and managerial governance. Many of us who enjoyed the CNN for its remarkable corporate transparency, authority, exceptional leadership style and strict adherence to excellence are now wary of the kind of dirty practice that is being unveiled before our very eyes. In maintenance of good corporate zeal and balanced journalism, CNN has no business trading sinister tackles with their President; there is so much they can focus their energy on. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are not losing revenue. The BBC has retained its corporate practice and excellence; they have their own President Trump in Boris Johnson, but look at the decent manner they are covering his activities. CNN is facing ethical dilemmas no doubt. Their reporters may well be facing personal scrutiny as well; it is time to question their dignity. There is no longer innovation or creativity; the CNN cannot enjoy pecuniary gains by resorting to hagiographic journalism; this is base reporting and unhelpful to the Americans. It is even clearer their editorial focus is heavily skewed in favour of the democrats; their wholesale massacre of the personality and character of the President is unhelpful to whatever cause they are fighting; their whole editorial content lavished on one man: Trump! Dull as the President is, America is not short of bulwarks to checkmate him. Now with over 52,000 horrific deaths and still counting, what is the gain of the CNN? They must stop their antagonism of the Trump Presidency; it is an alchemy that won’t work; two wrongs cannot make a right just as two captains cannot stay in the same ship. The practice of journalism as currently done by the CNN is out rightly unprofessional; it cannot even qualify for any known business model; it cannot foist goodwill or persuade the general public; it is sad, the giant CNN hitherto known for their mitigating efforts and  paradigm shift has unwittingly become enmeshed in unprofessional acts. “Each time I tune to CNN my stomach turns; I simply rush to Al-Jazeera for satisfaction”, said an anonymous fellow. And it’s like this in many countries. The CNN must not create its own pandemic. The corona virus is enough.
