GROUP DEFENDS BOSS MUSTAPHA, PASSES VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON HIM.

Coronavirus is neither a scam, nor a hoax - FG - The Nation NigeriaSecretary to the Government of the Federation Mr Boss Mustapha and chairman of Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 has been exonerated from blame over his comments on the state of Nigeria’s health sector. Speaking at a private meeting, the Secretary-General of the Abuja based Committee for Good Governance (CFGG) Prince Kenneth Okoh lashed out at those calling the SGF names stating that it is not the job of Boss Mustapha to know exactly the state of affairs at the Health sector since you have a substantive Minister in charge as well as a Minister of State. He said besides, there is a senate and reps committees in charge of Health who are supposed to perform oversight function in that area. “Why attack someone who merely reports to the president and is not a medical doctor or medical inspection officer?” The secretary-General expressed shock that some critics would take this matter to such ridiculous level and blamed the rot on the corrupt nature of supervising authorities. “What type of oversight function do they perform if they cannot detect the huge mess in the Health sector? asked the secretary-general. Prince Okoh went on to describe Boss Mustapha as a detribalised Nigerian who is very forthright, accommodating and simple. He said Boss Mustapha has been executing his task with uncommon panache and wondered why some critics would pick on him for saying the truth. “He has brought stability and sense of purpose in the running of government business and he should be supported” Prince disclosed. His association therefore wasted no time to pass a vote of confidence on him.

Sahara Reporters, Premium Times, The Cable and Modern Journalism

Journalism has continued to evolve since the days of veterans like Professors Alfred Opubor, Onoura Nwuneli, Ralph Akinfeleye, Adidi Uyo, Idowu Sobowale, and other greats, not to mention the shining lights of flawless prose writing like Dan Agbese, Ray Ekpu, Yakubu Muhammed, Dele Gowa, and not least, Olatunji Dare. But the entrance of Sahara Reporters appears to deviate from those widely held pragmatic principles of decency. Stories by our reporters In those days, the Department of Mass Communication of the University of Lagos was very hot and remains so to date. Exciting lecturers in the mold of Dr Adidi Uyo, Ralph Akinfeleye, and Idowu Sobowale made teachings very robust and thirsty to listeners. Students learnt the trade and picked up fast. They taught the tenets of practical journalism exhaustively and left no stone unturned. They made journalism so sweet that students were always hungry to learn more; the thrills were such that even the 13 points cut-off mark for entry ...
