TRUE-LIFE MINISTRIES-ONLINE PREACHING. WHAT NEXT AFTER COVID-19?

WHO Declares COVID-19 Outbreak a PandemicPraise the Lord Brethren. Today we shall be looking at Isaiah 42 v. 7. The lord said “I will open the blind eyes and bring out the prisoners from the prison and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house”. Oh brethren what a powerful admonition this is. Before I continue, I want you beloved to close your eyes and pray like this: “powers that has tied me down catch fire now”, in Jesus Mighty name, amen. Praise the Lord. Brethren it is sheer horror to be thrown into a state of despair, distress by no fault of yours. People who are confined to hellish existence out of no fault of theirs find it difficult to believe in the existence of God, especially those in the nadir of life, hopeless conditions similar to prison. When you cannot eat 3 square meals a day, when you find it difficult to obtain favour; there are circumstances you find yourselves that leaves you confused; you are single and nearing 5o years of age without husband or you are married and twenty years on, no children. Perhaps you are one of those who have been abandoned in the streets with no formal education, nothing to do; you roam the streets although you have your BSc certificate; that is akin to living in the shadows of darkness. But I bring you good news. God has not forsaken you. In Psalm 107, the Bible let it be known that God will deliver you. In v. 6, we read of how “they cried onto the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distress”. Not only that, the Bible said in v. 9 “for He satisfied the longing soul and fillet the hungry soul with goodness”. See that? God will not forsake you. Listen brethren in v. 10,  specifically the Bible refers to such as “sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron”…..Praise the Lord. Hear the phrase “being bound in affliction and in iron”. May God not let any of you experience this, amen. Now listen to this real deal: brethren, when in this condition, you don’t have to fold your hands; you cry to the Lord….not herbalists or native doctors. Some of you have the habit of running to these people who will further exploit and compound your problems. Ditto, fake pastors who will capitalize on your calamity to defraud you. Brethren please avoid them. They are like wolves in sheep clothing. V. 14 of that chapter confirm that “He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and brake their bands in sunder”. This is God for you. There is no situation beyond Him. Even this raging covid-19 pandemic will pass away. The virus itself has temporally succeeded in forcing everybody indoors. But as sudden as it came, so it will depart. We were not born with covid-19. Never mind those currently exploiting the menace to further compound our misery. It will be short-lived. I  f our God can break the gates of brass and cut away the bars of iron, how much more this dreaded pandemic?  We can hope for a better tomorrow. Only put your trust in him. And finally v. 16 further assures you of the potency of trusting God. “For He had broken the gates of brass and cut the bars of iron in sunder”. I am delighted to inform you that covid-19 will go. The fears should be exploited to raise violent prayer points. This is the time for us to launch a counter attack. There is no situation you find yourself now that last forever. As long as you have faith in the Lord, your situation will change for good, Praise the Lord, somebody. Amen.

Arising from the bombshell disclosure by no less a personality than Aliko Dangote on the perceived shortcomings of the embattled managing director of the downstream regulator, leaders of the League of Patriotic Lawyers have taken up the gauntlet to add fire to the disclosure by calling for the release of the names of beneficiaries of the import license.   Stories by Clement Ebaku and Lucy Okulougbo in Lagos. Sahara Reporters, Premium Times, The Cable and Modern Journalism

Journalism has continued to evolve since the days of veterans like Professors Alfred Opubor, Onoura Nwuneli, Ralph Akinfeleye, Adidi Uyo, Idowu Sobowale, and other greats, not to mention the shining lights of flawless prose writing like Dan Agbese, Ray Ekpu, Yakubu Muhammed, Dele Gowa, and not least, Olatunji Dare. But the entrance of Sahara Reporters appears to deviate from those widely held pragmatic principles of decency. Stories by our reporters In those days, the Department of Mass Communication of the University of Lagos was very hot and remains so to date. Exciting lecturers in the mold of Dr Adidi Uyo, Ralph Akinfeleye, and Idowu Sobowale made teachings very robust and thirsty to listeners. Students learnt the trade and picked up fast. They taught the tenets of practical journalism exhaustively and left no stone unturned. They made journalism so sweet that students were always hungry to learn more; the thrills were such that even the 13 points cut-off mark for entry ...
