IZE-IYAMU BOOTED OUT FROM PDP, TO FLY APC TICKET?

All may not be well in the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chapter where there seems to be no love lost between the leaders; the crisis was reported to have been sparked off by Pastor Ize Iyamu’s alleged infidelity.

Already the said Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu who flew the PDP’s ticket in the last election has been kicked out. The belief is that he is making underground moves to join the ruling APC, so that he could fly the Party’s ticket in the 2020 election.

In a swift reaction, Mr.  Chris Nehikhare, the Party’s Publicity Secretary, dismissed Ize Iyamu’s alleged moves as infantile and selfish. He labelled the Pastor as ungrateful by his refusal to respond to enquiries seeking clarifications of his defection to APC.  “As a result of the “uneasy quiet” from our dear Pastor, the Edo PDP is left with no option but to announce his exclusion from all PDP related activities”, read the statement from Nehikhare.

Party leaders in State Chapter believe that Pastor Ize Iyamu is being lined up to replace Obaseki as the APC flag bearer.

They regard the underground move as full blown treachery and a master plan by Adams Oshiomole to pull the rug from under the feet of Obaseki.

According to political sources, Pastor Ize Iyamu is being seen as a fitting choice in place of Engr. Chris Ogiewonyi, General Airhavere (rtd) and Capt. Hosa Okunbo who has declined participation.

However, it remains to be seen how far Pastor Ize Iyamu can be manipulated to realize his age long ambition to govern his nature Edo State.

On the other hand; Chief Dan Orbih the longest serving Party Chairman, is believed to have been asked to step down and allow younger people step up.  “Where is the constitution that says you will occupy a post indefinitely”? Queried a source.
