Comrade
Adams Oshiomole the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairman has come under fire
for not supporting implementation of Minimum Wage for workers nationwide.
In
a power packed Press Conference addressed in Lagos, Comrade Charles Afe-Ikaghe,
Secretary-General of Democracy Watch, challenged the APC Chairman to come out
clean for workers. “He was Labor leader
for many years; now, he is the Chairman of the ruling Party in government”,
observed Mr. Ikaghe.
The
charismatic leader wondered why as Party Chairman he has not deemed it
necessary to impresse his Party’s Governors to implement the Minimum Wage
without further delay. “This ding-dong
affair is not necessary. We expected
Adams Oshiomole to correct this; he should do more to assist his Constituency”,
declared Mr. Charles Ikaghe.
The
controversy surrounding the Minimum Wage payment has been considered largely as
mystery. “This is a country endowed with
so much national resources; we should take the bull by the horns”, charged Mr.
Charles.
