Abuja, the seat of Government was agog yesterday, Thursday, November 29 as the PDP presidential flag bearer Ahaji Atiku Abubakar formerly kicked off his campaign promising Nigerians an end to the current hardship inflicted on them by the ruling All Progressive Congress party. Atiku who made the declaration at the Legacy House, Maitama district did so in the full glare of powerful party faithful, including the senate President Dr Bukola Saraki, vice presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi, Governors Ifeanyi Okowa(Delta State), Ahmed Abdulfatah(Kwara), Dave Umahi(Ebonyi) and not least deputy senate president Senator Ike Ekweremadu. Commenting, the National Coordinator of the Atiku PovertyCure Initiative Coalition Chief Jones Ogwumike declared that Atiku Abubakar was the right candidate to lift Nigerians from the current fiasco and called on all Nigerians to throw their weight behind him; Chief Ogwumike said that voting Buhari for a second tenure was going to spell disaster for Nigerians. He warned that those peddling rumors about Atiku's plan to unbundle the NNPC were doing so out of ignorance. He said that the NNPC has been serving only the interest of the elites and as such it has outlived its usefulness. "Nigeria belongs to all of us and we must salvage our country from the hands of people who don't mean well for us--and our children", he told the ExposeNews. The Atiku PovertyCure Initiative Coalition with grassroots spread across the country has been rooting for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the next president of the federal Republic of Nigeria.
