Postponed thrice already, there appears to be no end in sight for the APC Lagos gubernatorial primaries. Few minutes ago, the NWC led by Ebri again shifted the elections indefinitely, the reason being that it was marred by irregularities. As early as 12 noon Tuesday, while accreditation was still on, the social media became awash with fake results alleging a landslide for the favored protege of the acclaimed Godfather of the APC Lagos party Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In what appears to be a one sided affair, the incumbent Governor Akinwunmi Ambode until his avoidable fallout with the godfather has only the Almighty God as his major backer as even his deputy governor jumped ship and the league of those who had betrayed the Governor. Strangely, some unknown persons worsened the situation by rushing unbelievable figures which rightly halted the process. The Expose interviewed an anonymous who said he was disgusted at the treatment meted to someone who had handled the reins of governance so well and he is the one being derided. Another who gave his name Kassim Ahmed to fight on the side of Governor Ambode until he achieves victory over his conspirators. Mr. Kassim wondered what has gone wrong in Lagos that the people fail to see honesty in the transparent manner Lagos has been governed in the last three and half years. Yet another fellow Sadiq Ibrahim condemned in no small measure the gang up against Governor Ambode and prayed to God to help him out of this ugly situation. He said it was a pity no lesson has been learnt since the creation of Lagos.
